    From low-tech and time-intensive to high-tech and time-saving

    With over 115,000 scientists and technologists as members, STA runs a range of professional development, member meet-up, and industry and partner engagement events. Previously, these events were managed through email and spreadsheets, which Events and Membership Manager Mitchell Piercy described as “very low tech but high time cost”. Now, the team leverage EventsAir’s suite of event management tools, including the event website, registration, event app, agenda, and accommodation, which has helped them save time, increase efficiency, and level up their event management processes.

    Additionally, the EventsAir platform has been invaluable from a project management perspective, helping to keep Piercy’s team on-task and the event planning on track. “[The team] get email alerts when certain tasks are due and they can log into EventsAir to keep track of projects”, Piercy said.

    Having the ability to engage and directly communicate with event attendees via an event app has been a game changer for Piercy and his team. “[The event app] is very intuitive to use from both an event manager perspective and also for delegates going to events; it’s revolutionized how we engage with our delegates,” Piercy said.
