BRISBANE, QUEENSLAND – 22 October 2020 –– The EventsAir 6th Generation Event Management Platform won Best Technical Achievement or Innovation at the 2020 Australian Event Awards for its work on 2019/2020 Congresses and Events. Due to the difficulties of COVID-19, the 2020 Australian Event Awards was held as four simultaneous Ceremonies in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth, with Victorian Finalists able to join via zoom. This eliminated the need for anyone to travel or quarantine in order to attend the awards and allowed the Ceremonies to be run in a COVID safe manner. Each event included a 3-course dinner, live entertainment, and a face-to-face gathering alongside the Awards Ceremony itself. Video link-up technology was also used to bring, not only the industry in each room together, but the National industry together too and allowed us all to celebrate as one.
